In the Book of Matthew, Jesus says to the multitude that gathered, “Be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” For thousands of years, this crowd had been waiting and longing for the Messiah to deliver them and bring them hope and freedom, and now their Messiah stood before them teaching “perfection” that could only be found in Him.
How can sinful humanity live up to that expectation? What would it take to be that perfect? With the guidance of Bible teacher Mary Bass Gray, be challenged as we imperfect people pursue and practice God’s “perfect” by developing Christ-like character in us. This is an insightful, uplifting study that explores how we, as imperfect humans, can pursue godly perfection, striving to be more Christ-like in our thoughts, actions, and relationships.
